THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW

All of our condos are beautifully decorated and they all have ocean views. All condos have free Wi-Fi and free calling to the US and Canada. Some condos do also include local calling. Our kitchens are fully equipped and we provide coffee, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, and other spices to get your vacation started. Bottled drinking water is provided with all of our condos but the tap water is purified and safe to drink. Most of our condos feature grills on your personal terrace. You will find all the comforts of home in a Cozumel Habitats condo.
OTHER THINGS INCLUDED
Welcome to your vacation home, all guests receive a welcome basket. We provide you with plenty of beach and bath towels for your stay. We also provide complimentary housekeeping visits for stays of six or more nights. Our housekeeping staff is uniformed and professional. Should you want additional services the rate is $60.00 per visit. Our condos all have a washer/dryer and we provide laundry soap, dish soap and dish washer machine soap. All condos have personal safes and you are given your own personal entry code to the condo, no keys to worry with!
CONDO INFORMATION
There is a notebook in the unit with instructions for the TV, Internet, washer/dryer, and general information about the condo and the complex. We have also included a map of the Island, guidebook, things to do, discount coupons, and some of our favorite places to eat as well as the location of the two major grocery stores. *On a side note, the grocery stores are on the way to the condo in town on Melgar. You might want to consider stopping into the Mega or Chedraui on your way. Both stores take US dollars and offer the current exchange rate.
Feel free to ask us about our Chef services!
WHAT TO PACK
You might be wondering what to pack, so here are our thoughts:
Cozumel is very casual feel free to wear sandals and shorts anywhere. Sundresses are a must! You might want to bring at least two swimsuits, a hat, your sunglasses, and your personal toiletries. Do not forget your sunscreen! It is a good idea to bring some bug repellent. If you want to read, English books or magazines are not readily available. We do have small number of books in all of our condos that you can take to the beach. Relax and enjoy a good read…
DRIVING IN COZUMEL
Diving in Cozumel is easy. The town center is a grid system with Avenues running north, south, and Streets (Calles) running east and west. They are mostly numbered streets and for the most part, the Calles yields at a stop to the Avenues. The rest of the Island is really just the main coastal road that loops around almost the entire Island. Some guests prefer not to worry with driving and just take taxis and others want a car for their entire stay. It is a personal choice but we would encourage really exploring the Island with a rental car for a day or two at the least! We do not recommend renting scooters unless you are have experience. You will find an Island map in your condo.
IS MEXICO SAFE
This is a concern for many first time visitors to Cozumel and Mexico. There are parts of Mexico that are indeed not safe but our wonderful Island of Cozumel is one of the safest places in the world. Victoria and I have made this place our home for many years and we feel totally safe here. We also visit Cancun and Playa del Carmen several times a year and we are always comfortable with traveling there. At this time, there are no travel advisories for Cozumel from the US Government. There is not a better place in Mexico to visit.
